Turning Dreams into Reality - A Modern Beach House on the Jersey Shore
As summer heats up, many Bergen County natives begin to dream of building the perfect summer home. RS Mannino is in the process of turning one family’s dream into reality in Lavalette, New Jersey.
Rosario Mannino designed a modern beach house that utilized every single inch of space in a creative way and has shared his vision for this home with us.
The RS Mannino Design Process:
As is typical in many NJ Shore locations, the home did not have a big footprint, our goal was to maximize storage space and entertaining areas like a sunken lounge.
We specified Thermory weathered white ash cladding and all custom built-in furniture complete with daybeds with built-in storage (no drop in furniture) so it was similar to designing a yacht.
The roof deck features metal and glass railings to take advantage of the beautiful ocean views.
Other architectural details include dark bronze Marvin modern windows and a privacy lattice wall that allows the breeze in and keeps the sun out.
The design process takes approximately 4 months and the construction is estimated at 8 months. This is a new construction home that will start in Fall 2021.
