A great chair is a harmonious blend of form, function, and personality. It can make a dramatic statement, become a favorite nestling place, invite intimate conversations, or whisk your spirit away to another place. We asked our @tsgbergencounty designers to share with us some of their favorite chairs and we are so happy to share them here with our Scout Guide friends.

Columbia Brooke Hills Design:
Brooke Sperling is a huge fan of the @theodore_alexander_official SoMa Wingback Accent Chair.  To the trade, it is fully customizable~ frame color and finish~ sparking her imagination. “The red high gloss is fantastic and I’ve even considered it for our ski home.  Although it is intricate, it could fit well in Alpine setting.” Brooke recently used two SoMa chairs in the matte carbon frame with grey velvet fabric to complete a dining room that featured two significant large scale art pieces.

Wostbrock Home:
Krista Wostbrock raves that the @wesleyhallfurniture Charming Chair is a perfect accent and can be held to the test of time. She loves the effortless pizzazz this chair’s silhouette brings to any space.  “Sexy, elegant, and confidant; this chair can virtually be inserted into any setting to instantly elevate the room.”  Krista’s personal favorite way to see it is in a “Lady’s Lair,” finished in a bold fuchsia fabric, and with Alpine White wood finish, as pictured. Preferably accompanied with an extra dirty martini.

Laurie DiGiacomo Interiors:
Laurie DiGiacomo believes that the Master Bedroom should be a peaceful retreat and loves to incorporate a great chaise to create a cozy reading nook. This chaise by @safavieh is one of her go-to favorites. “I usually finish it in a cream performance chenille so that you don’t have to worry about spilling your coffee or (wine).”  She also accents the piece with brass nail-heads for a more tailored look.

Toledo Geller:
Virginia Toledo and Jessica Geller love it when a chair enhances a room’s architectural detail and creates a distinctive vibe. But they also know that sometimes the perfect piece is the perfect vintage find. And these two dynamic ladies never shy away from a good hunt! For this stunning library, Toledo Geller found a worn, Art Deco chair and had it perfectly refurbished in a luxe tangerine velvet fabric to create a one-of-a-kind showstopper. Shazam!

Backyard Living:
Our friends at Backyard Living believe that our outdoor spaces should be just as unique and luxurious as our interiors. We are obsessed with this Fern High Back Lounge Chair by @glosterfurniture that they shared.  Designed by @sebastianherkner, the design combines plantation teak with a soft finish outdoor rope to create an enveloping, woven backrest that is amazingly comfortable. The Backyard Living pre-season sale is about to begin and we will definitely be asking about this beauty.
